The workshop sees the arrival of a Triumph Stag for restoration.

Another Stag joins the workshop. The job list on this car includes sorting out the mechanicals and then body repairs and respray.

We start by carrying out a full service. The cooling system in overhauled with new cooling hoses and a coolant change. The braking system has new front callipers fitted, new brake lines made up and braided hoses fitted. The fuel system has the filters replaced and uprated fuel hoses fitted. The suspension has various bushes replaced along with new shock absorbers.

Next the strip down of the car follows ready to start repairs and the respray. Trim items are removed, bagged, labeled noting any parts in need of replacement and stored. The nearside door is removed to have a new door skin and door bottom repair panel fitted. The shell has repair work carried out. The new door bottom repair panel and door skin are fitted and the shell has the repair areas primed. The panels are primed. The shell and panels are then painted. A small repair is carried out to the chassis removing an area of rot. The underside then has an underbody wax treatment. The airbox, air intake and rocker covers are now removed to be refurbished. We start the wet flat and polish of the car along with refit. The refubishment of the airbox, air intake and rockers covers is completed. The dash is remove and refurbished. A new hood is fitted. The seats are retrimmed in leather and refitted along with a new carpet set. The wheels also return from being refurbished, have new tyres fitted and are put back on the car. We now complete the refit carry out our final checks and the car is ready for collection
