Classic Car Resprays What You Need to Know.

Have you ever wondered what the respray process involves? Let us guide you through it:

1
The car is inspected and stripped.
2
If it has been necessary to bare metal the car an epoxy primer coat is applied to prevent oxidisation.
3
Any necessary welding and filler work is carried out.
4
A polyester spray filler coat is then applied and sanded to provide a uniform surface and finish for primer.
5
We then prime the car with a high build 2k primer before de-masking and sanding.
7
The top coat is then applied. Panels, door shuts, the boot and the engine bay are all sprayed separately.
6
Next we re-mask the car for the top coat carrying out a full degrease prior to spraying.
8
Finally the car is buffed for a deep, lasting mirror shine.

Myself and Sonia would like to thank you and your team for the excellent job you made of restoring the Bentley. Despite the fact the car was dismantled by somebody else, you sorted out and assmebled and resprayed it to perfection.

Frank Heil

All in all a great service with the jobs being completed on time and with a very high quality finish, I will strongly recommend Andy and his team to my fellow members of the Tamar Valley MG Owners Club.
