Completion

This week sees the refit completed and the car ready for collection.

Paintwork and refit

This week sees the final panels go into paint along with the wheels. We then start the refit of the car.

Respray

This week following the final preperation of the shell we get the car into paint in its new colour scheme.

Bodywork

This week sees the repairs finished. The car is prepared for primer and masked. Primer is applied and we paint the shuts in the new body colour. Next we will prep the shell ready for the top coat. We also start to prep the wheels.

Bodywork

This week sees the repairs continue. Welding is carried out on the near side. Both wings are now fitted. Filler work is carried out to the near side and we continue to prep the rest of the shell for primer. Once happy with the repairs on the shell and panels they are given a coat of spray filler and guide coated ready to be sanded and prepared for primer.

Bodywork

This week sees the repairs continue. The offiside C pillar, rear quarter and door all have filler work carried out. The front scuttle is taken to bare metal. The nearside quarter is taken to bare metal, dents are pulled out, welding work is carried out and the inner arch is welded to the outer arch. The nearside door and other areas of the shell have prep work carried out.

Strip down and repairs

This week sees the strip down of the car to start the repairs. Areas that we have concern over are taken to bare metal. On the rear quarter this reveals the previous repairs where some panels are not even fully welded but just stitched on and then covered in filler. We address this issue welding the sections properly, all the wleded area is then given a skim of fibergalss and finished with skims of filler. One of the new wings is also trial fitted and panel gaps improved.
