About the Owner.

Hi, my name is Andy Moss and I’m the owner of AM Restorations.

Right from an early age, I’ve always loved cars. After cleaning and working on my Dad’s car, I started as an apprentice mechanic at a Volvo dealership where I stayed for 7 years.

After a few years in other garages, I got a job as a motor mechanic in a body shop, where I gained a great deal of restoration experience. By this time, I was into my third classic Triumph, so at the age of 30, I put my new gained skills to good work on my much-loved Stag.

I have been involved in restoring classic cars since 1991 and have rebuilt 10 classics over the years for myself. After winning many prizes with my cars, I decided with some support and encouragement from fellow Stag Club members, to start my own classic car restoration business. I saw an opportunity to provide people with value for money and to restore cars to the highest possible standard. Not only do I feel it is important to provide a top-class service with thorough attention to detail, but most of all to do the job I love.

Jason Gould

Manager

After spending 25 years in management and customer service running many successful retail outlets, an opportunity arose in 2012 to join my brother-in-law Andy at AM Restorations. Then a fledgling business, it was a chance to combine my passion for business and customer service with my love of classic cars. My role as Manager is quite varied and has changed quite a few times over the time I have been here. With my role now I am based in the office discussing restorations with clients, overseeing the account side of the business, updating the website, dealing with suppliers and ensuring that the stocks for the workshop are maintained. When possible I do enjoy the hands on side of the business and help with body preperation and also involved in trimming.

In 2015, I completed a full restoration on my 1967 Triumph Herald which I recently sold; this gave me the chance to develop some of my hands-on skills.

Mechanic & Panel Beater

After leaving school, I worked in a body shop to learn my trade. I then moved on to work at Bentley, working in their specialist vehicles shop. After a few years, I wanted to be more involved in the mechanical side of things, so I moved back to Devon. I completed my Level 3 Vehicle Mechanics Course and joined AM Restorations in 2016.

I was introduced to classic cars at a young age and undertook my first project at 14, restoring a 1983 Mini. As well as having a life-long passion for motor cars, I’ve always had a love for motorsports and have competed in the BSKC Championship in karts and the ASWMC Championship in a bike engine sports car.
