Our Staff

Andy Moss
Owner

Over 30 years motor trade experience and 25 years classic car experience.
I have always loved cars from an early age. After cleaning and working on my Dad's car, I started as an apprentice mechanic at a Volvo dealership where I stayed for 7 years. After a few years in other garages, I got a job as a Motor Mechanic in a Body Shop, where I got a great deal of restoration experience. By this time I was onto my 3rd classic Triumph, so at the age of 30 I put my newly gained skills to good work on my much loved Stag.
I have been involved in classic cars since 1991 and rebuilt 10 classics over the years for myself. After winning many prizes with my cars, I decided, with some support and encouragement from fellow Stag Club members, to start my own restoration business. I could see the opportunity to provide people with value for money and restore cars to the highest of standards. Not only do I feel it is important to provide a top class service with thorough attention to detail, but most of all to do the job I love.

Toby Hall
Mechanic & Panel Beater

Toby was introduced to classic cars at a young age undertaking his first project at 14 which was a 1983 Mini.
"After leaving school I first went to work for a bodyshop garage to further my skills. I then managed to get a position at Bentley in their specialist vehicles shop. After a while at Bentley I decided I wanted to go back to more involved mechanical work so I moved back down to Devon."
"As well as having a passion for road cars I've always had a love for motorsport, having competed in BSKC championship in karts as well as ASWMC championship in a bike engine sports car. My love for single seater racing took me to mechanics solely for motorsport at the worlds largest Formula Ford meeting."
After continuing to restore various classic and modified vehicles at another bodyshop in Devon and completing his level 3 vehicle mechanics course, Toby then came to us in 2016 and has continued to improve his experience and skills and most importantly preserving Classic and historic vehicles to a high standard.

Nigel has worked on all types of vehicles from large commercials and plant, to modern and classics and building sports and racing cars from the ground up.

Callum Parker
Paint Sprayer

Starting my 3 year apprenticehip working on new and old cars I knew I had a passion for Classic Cars.
After completing my paint spraying qualification I came to A.M Restorations and since being here I have had a new experience restoring Classic Cars back to their former glory.
I enjoy this side of the trade and for that reason and the attention to detail the rest of the team and I give these cars to make them look as original as when they left the factory.

Nathan Arrowsmith
Apprentice Paint Sprayer

As a young boy I always had a keen interest in cars but never really planned to work on them so after school I had difficulty finding what I wanted to do.
I did my first year of A-levels and a year at college studying mechanics.
I then went to work for an accident repair garage panel beating gaining some skills and insight of what it was like to be in the motor industry.
I am now working towards gaining qualifications in paint and body as as apprentice sprayer. I have been at A.M. Restorations since July 2016 and have learned a lot in that time but I still have skills and knowledge to acquire to work further to my goal of being a master sprayer.

Jason Gould
Manager

After spending 25 years in management and customer service, running many successful retail outlets and opportunity arose to join my brother-in-law Andy at A.M. Restorations. Then a fledgling business back in 2012 it was a chance to combine my passion for business and customer service with my love of working on Classic Cars.
I 2015 I completed a full restoration on my 1967 Triumph Herald which I recently sold, this gave me the chance to develop some of my hands on skills.
Not only do I oversee the running of the office and administration side of the business dealing with customers and raising estimates, I also work in the workshop on jobs such as interior trimming, body preparation and detailing.

Lauren Moss
Administrator

After leaving school and completing my level 2 in Health and Social care at college I spent some time working in several care/nursing homes building up my working with the public skills. I then left care work to come and join the team here at A.M. Restorations in 2014 to work in the office and be part of the family run business.
I have always has a passion for cars having been brought up with the Classic Car scene. I have attended many car shows, almost every Sunday of the summer months with my family as I was growing up and this has had a major impact on my appreciation of Classic Cars.
I look after the day to day running of the office making sure the team has everything they need to keep these classics on the road, although I am also not afraid to get my hands dirty and often help out in the workshop when needed.
I was very involved with my 1995 VW Corrado when it underwent restoration helping out as much as I could. I also had a 1996 VW Polo as my first car, which was also partially restored here at A.M Restorations.
I am always happy to see new customers and ensure that they are looked after throughout their experience at A.M. Restorations.
